Aims, Mission Statement

In the Spring of 2012 the school conducted a survey on what values we felt were important to all of us and therefore ones we wanted to hold as core to the school’s aim and ambitions. The school surveyed

  • Children
  • Staff
  • Governors
  • Groups of parents
  • Other partners involved with the school (such as the church)

There was a range of group and individual meetings. The values that were identified as important to our community and therefore the ones that have the most impact on our learning are:

  • Christian Service
  • Respect
  • Curiosity
  • Communication
  • Encouragement
  • Creativity
  • Adaptability

From these values we were able to draft four mission statements that we believe reflect the aspirations of the type of children we want developing in St Paul’s. Again, these statements were as a result of the research conducted in Spring 2012.

St Paul’s is a school where:

  • We experience a firm grounding in the Christian Faith
  • We understand ourselves and seek to understand others
  • We value creativity, innovation and the joy of learning
  • We aim for excellence
